Fabulous False Eyelashes

3 steps to fabulous false eyelashes:

1. Take your false eyelashes and measure against the width of your own - this will ensure a perfect fit. When the desired length is achieved trim a little off the outside edge with nail scissors.

2. Place the false eyelashes in pair of tweezers and apply a thin line of eyelash glue to the lash band. Allow this to cure until it reaches a 'tacky' state. Using the tweezers as a guide apply the falsies as close to your natural lash line as is feasibly possible. Gently tap the line of the lash to ensure they're securely in place.

3. To hide the join between your lash line and false eyelash, slick a fine line of black eyeliner over the eye to ensure a flawless finish. Add lashings of mascara to finish for a fluttering full eyed effect.

Whether you opt for a full set of lashes or individual ones to add length to the outside edge of your eyes, always ensure that you do a patch test using the glue on your hand before applying near the eye to avoid any severe allergic

Making the most of your lip shape

Perfect lip shape? I think, there is no such thing! but if you want to make your mouth appear a little fuller or thinner, it is easy to create an illusion with well-placed liner or lip gloss.

Creating a "Glamour Makeup"

Photographer: Pia Puno

Pia invited me to do a collaboration of our works. She had various ideas and showed me different pegs on what to do. Days after the shoot, she showed me the output. I am thrilled with the beauty shots. :)

I just love "purple"

I've always wanted to create different and exciting look for each of my models. Upon checking my makeup box, i saw this untouched lipstick i have... so I thought maybe I should use it to construct a look ... with a little spice, to shake things up. So I ended up with this look. Do you think this will work in real life? :)

Another Smokey Eye Look

Thank you Tina for being so patient during our photo shoot. :) Hope to work with you again soon....

Here is a tutorial on how create a smokey eye effect:
  1. Step 1: Choose A Color

A smoky eye is done with one color of eye shadow. Brown, grey, or black are good choices. Dark plum or navy are for the brave. Eyeliners should match.

  2. Step 2: Prep Your Lid

Apply a thin layer of foundation across your lids. Then sweep on a nude colored shadow or powder. Use a light shimmer if you’re feeling fancy.

  3. Step 3: Pencil In

Using your pencil, draw a line around your eyes. If you want your smoky eyes to look especially frisky, draw on your inner rims as well. Blend with a cotton swab.

  4. Step 4: Brush Up

Start by sweeping on a layer of shadow close to the lashline with your eyeshadow brush, diffusing the eyeliner.

With a light hand, add another layer of eye shadow and blend upward... so the the color fades evenly from lash to crease. Line the lower eye with a liner brush and diffuse with a cotton swab.

  5. Step 5: Finishing Touches

Use a cotton swab to blend or clean up any shadow.

Apply two coats of mascara on curled lashes to polish the smoky eye look.

Natural look for my models

How to achieve a natural look:
  1. Step 1

Understand that a 'natural' look is one that uses colors that are right for your skin tone. How much you use, and where, depends on your personal style.

  2. Step 2

Make sure your concealer is yellow in tone since it mutes imperfections without adding color, giving your skin a natural look.

  3. Step 3

Apply foundation that matches your skin tone. The right foundation will seem to disappear on your face. If you are African-American, it's a good idea to have light, medium and dark shades of your foundation to allow for different gradations of color on different parts of your face.

  4. Step 4

Apply eye makeup in earthy tones'beige, brown, gold or plum for shadows and brown and charcoal gray for liner and mascara. Skip liner or shadow entirely if you want to keep makeup light.

  5. Step 5

Choose a blush color that is close to the color of your cheeks after you've exercised.
